Transgender Awareness Week

Transgender Awareness Week is an annual observance dedicated to increasing understanding, visibility, and support for transgender and nonbinary people. Throughout the week, communities, schools, and organizations share stories, educational resources, and opportunities for learning that highlight transgender experiences, history, achievements, and advocacy.
The week encourages meaningful conversations about inclusion, respect, and equity while celebrating the contributions of transgender people in our communities. Transgender Awareness Week culminates on November 20 with Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day to honor the lives of transgender people lost to anti-transgender violence and to recommit to creating safer, more affirming communities for all.
