Burton/May Pride Award
Applications for 2022-2023 School Year
Application Deadline has been extended to February 6, 2023
Awards in this category are intended to provide support for educational expenses for your enrollment in an educational program following your graduation from high school (vocational school or training program, community college or university). These expenses will typically include:
- Tuition, course fees
- On campus living expenses
- Books and other educational materials
- Computers used for coursework
- Other costs directly related to enrollment in an educational program
Safe Schools Desert Cities will award scholarships of $500 to $1500 in this category. This is a competitive award but is not based on scholastic achievement. Recipients will be selected solely on the basis of an application (including references).

When you open that item you will find the links to download the “Guidelines and Application” and the link to download the “Scholarship Award Reference Form”. You will be responsible for having your references submit the required reference.

Applications for the Burton/May Pride Award will be administered by the Inland Empire Community Foundation. Selection of recipients will be made by Safe Schools Desert Cities.
