Safe Schools Desert Cities is planning to staff an exhibitor booth at Cathedral City LGBT Days, an annual festival that celebrates the diversity and inclusion of the LGBT community and its allies in Cathedral City, California. The festival is the first Pride event of the year in California and features various events and activities, such as:
- An opening night kickoff party with live entertainment, food, and drinks.
- The 7th annual community LGBT Days bed race, where teams of five people race decorated beds along a downtown course.
- Live musical performances by local and national artists, such as Kristine W, Debby Holiday, and Ultra Naté.
- Outdoor dancing with DJs and drag shows.
- Food, beverages, and community booths from local businesses and organizations.
- A closing night party with fireworks and a balloon drop.
The festival is free and open to everyone. The festival aims to honor the LGBT community and its history, culture, and achievements, as well as to promote Cathedral City as a welcoming and livable city for all.
