DESCRIPTION:Youth Zone (November 7–8\, 2026) \n\nSafe Schools Desert Cities invites LGBTQ+ youth and allies ages 14–20 to the Youth Zone during Palm Springs Pride. Located within the Palm Springs Pride Festival grounds\, the Youth Zone offers a fun\, welcoming\, and substance-free space to connect\, celebrate\, and express yourself. \nEnjoy games\, music\, dancing\, art activities\, contests\, free food and beverages\, and opportunities to meet new friends from across the Coachella Valley and beyond. Health and wellness resources will also be available in a safe environment that is free from tobacco\, alcohol\, vaping\, and drugs. \nPride Parade (November 8\, 2026) \nJoin Safe Schools Desert Cities on Sunday\, November 8\, as we proudly lead hundreds of LGBTQ+ middle and high school students in the Palm Springs Pride Parade. This joyful celebration of visibility\, diversity\, and inclusion travels along Palm Canyon Drive before thousands of cheering spectators. \nStudents\, families\, educators\, and supporters are invited to march together and show their pride while celebrating the strength and resilience of LGBTQ+ youth. DESCRIPTION:Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance honoring the lives of transgender people who have been lost to anti-transgender violence. Held each year on November 20\, TDOR provides an opportunity to remember those whose lives were taken\, uplift transgender voices\, and raise awareness about the ongoing challenges faced by transgender and nonbinary communities. \n\nCommunities around the world mark the day through vigils\, educational programs\, and acts of reflection that recognize the importance of dignity\, safety\, and belonging for all people.
