Safe Schools Desert Cities volunteers are the backbone of our organization and crucial in our ability to serve the community. As a volunteer, you will join a dedicated, committed and hardworking group of people supporting our community. There are opportunities for volunteers in several areas throughout the year. Step-By-Step Process
- Complete the Online Volunteer Application
- Once your application has been reviewed, our Volunteer Coordinator and/or a board member will contact you to setup an interview. After the interview, we will contact your references and make a final decision.
- If you have been tentatively selected as a volunteer, you will be given the information and forms to get a Live Scan (finger printing and background check). After the Live Scan has been completed and the results have been received by the Safe Schools Desert Cities custodian of record, you will be contacted regarding the status of your application.
- You are responsible for the cost of the Live Scan (usually around $20). You can review the locations and estimated costs, by clicking here. If this is a financial burden, please contact us prior to being Live Scanned.
